Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about cost, quality, privacy, and what can and cannot be downloaded.

Is it free to download Instagram videos?

Yes. All five tools — video, reels, stories, audio, and photo — are free with no account and no daily limit.

Do I need to install software or log in?

No. Everything runs in a modern browser on iPhone, Android, PC, Mac, or Linux. Your Instagram credentials are never asked for.

Can I download from private accounts?

No. Only public posts are supported. Private content is protected by Instagram rules and stays out of reach.

Is downloading stories anonymous?

Yes. The uploader is not notified and your identity stays private.

Will the video have a watermark?

No. You receive the original uploaded file at its full resolution, with nothing stamped on it.

Can I save just the audio?

Yes. The audio page extracts the sound track from any public reel or video.

Can I download a whole carousel album?

Yes. The photo page detects every slide and lets you save them all in full resolution.

Where are files saved?

Android: Downloads folder and gallery. iPhone: Files app under Downloads, then move to Photos. Desktop: your browser download folder.

Why did a link fail to resolve?

Usually the post is private, deleted, or region-restricted — or Instagram temporarily blocked automated lookup. Check the post opens while logged out, then try again.

Is it legal to download Instagram videos?

Keeping a copy for personal offline viewing is generally accepted, but reposting someone else’s work as your own is not. Respect copyright and credit creators.

Does it work on iPhone Safari?

Yes. Paste the link, tap Download, confirm the Safari popup, and find the file in Files under Downloads.

Who runs this tool?
